Fall Products Program

In this “friends and family” fall product sale, girls have the opportunity to set realistic goals, such as planning field trips and community service projects, and to get a head start on achieving their goals.

The calendar, magazine, chocolate, nut program activity is to be directed at only family members and friends. This is not intended to be a door-to-door activity.

Consider what girls learn from participating in these programs:

Leadership – Girls demonstrate leadership within their troop by suggesting what community service projects ideas.
Life Skills – Girls learn business skills such as marketing, making presentations and providing good customer service.
Self-Esteem – Goal setting is an important part of the Fall Product Program, which teaches girls to believe in themselves.
Ethics/Values – Girls often gain their first lessons in fiscal responsibility and proper money management.
Service – Troops often use a portion of the proceeds in their troop treasuries to conduct service projects giving them the opportunity to learn the importance of service to others.

The Fall Product Program benefits Girl Scout troops and funds Girl Scout programs. A key way in which families support Girl Scouting is through their daughters’ participation in product program activities. Each girl’s participation in product program activities is voluntary. Every participating girl must have signed Permission & Responsibility form signed by her parent or guardian. Click here for the Word and Adobe versions of this form.
