Summer Camp
Camp Cedar Point

Girl Scouts of Shagbark Council has been providing programs for girls--Girl Scouts and non-Girl Scouts alike--for the past 45 years! Camp Cedar Point, located on Little Grassy Lake, opened its first summer camp in 1953!

Our Goals for Campers:

  • To work cooperatively with others, increasing understanding and respect for others.
  • To develop values that will provide a foundation for decision-making and leadership.
  • To gain environmental awareness and appreciation of natural resources.
  • To learn independence, self-reliance, teamwork, leadership and a healthy lifestyle.

Toward these goals for campers, a specially selected camp staff receive training in program, group dynamics, leadership and more. All are certified in First Aid and CPR and bring diverse skills and outdoor experience to help campers discover, connect and take action while meeting new friends and enjoying their camp adventures.
